Terrain Parks are a consistent figure throughout the Hakuba resorts. For freestyle riders the main parks are found at Hakuba 47, Happo, Iwatake, Tsugaike and Yanaba, all offering a tonne of features.
Happo One “Happo Banks” Terrain Park
Designed and maintained by HappoOne. The Happo Banks flow park Park is only a couple of hundred meters above Hakuba House and only one high-speed-quad lift away. The park has a variety of kickers and banks and offers great variety to the resort when it opens around the end of January through to mid March.
Hakuba 47 Terrain Park and Halfpipe
The R-4 Big Snow Park is located on the left hand side of the Hakuba 47 Gondola and is one of the most well maintained and challenging terrain parks in the region. The rails, jumps and boxes are all huge.
The halfpipe is cut well and maintained daily.
A boarder cross course is set up at various times throughout the season for local competitions.
Tsugiake has a great terrain park, and with a good selection of fun tabletops and kickers.
Yanaba is another great day out for freestyle riders. It is a small terrain park only resort, featuring a 20m rail and halfpipe, open from 9am – 9pm for only 1,500yen including a free drink.
